Muru Ceramics is a ceramic design studio creating mainly porcelain objects. Artist Wojciech Stanisław Skowronek has graduated From Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, Poland, also studied in Lviv Academy of Arts in Ukraine. He now lives in Surrey England, where he has his studio and produces many types of handcrafted items.
Muru Ceramics is making creating items in a very fine and thin porcelain., really thin known for its see-through qualities and being a delicate material to work with.
Wojciech get inspired by heptagonal shapes which are found in natural environment such as some of the cacti. Heptagon as a graphic sign of number seven has been his favourite theme for many years. Number seven is appearing throughout his life and it is considered his lucky number where it became to be a real base for creating whole series of tableware and everyday objects.
